教学与研究领域:

长期工作在理论物理(包括粒子物理、量子场论、弦论、凝聚态强关联理论、多体统计物理、引力论和数学物理)国际研究的前沿。主要兴趣在于物理世界的基本规律及其数学(几何、代数)结构、拓扑性质的研究。近年来特别关注量子场论、量子多体系统中的演生(包括拓扑)性质的研究。特别是拓扑量子物态在强关联多体系统(如量子霍尔系统、拓扑绝缘体等)中的实现,及其在量子信息处理和量子计算中的可能应用;还有演生的物理现象和性质与基础物理定律之间可能存在的深刻联系。

Research Interests:
Prof. Wu is interested in topological, geometric and algebraic structures underlying the fundamental laws in physics that unifies all matter and forces in Nature, as well as emergent phenomena in fundamental physics and strongly correlated systems. His fields cover quantum field theory, particle physics, statistical physics, string/M theory, topological matter and topological quantum computation, an emergent interdisciplinary research frontier of physicsmathematics and computer science
